Journey in Faith
Enquiring about the Catholic Faith at St James'
St James' Church is open to all who may enquire about the Catholic Faith. Already many non-Catholics - usually the partners of Catholics - worship in St James' and they are most welcome. In addition, enquiries are often received from people who would like to know a little more.
New Journey in Faith course
There will be an introductory evening on Tuesday 18th September 2012, starting with coffee at 7.45pm in the Meeting Room at church. This is for any non-Catholic, 18 plus, who would like to learn more about the teaching of the Catholic Church. Catholics who would like a “refresher” are also most welcome. There is no obligation. Some people go on to become Catholics, others do not. Whatever your past or background, you are most welcome to come on the Journey in Faith.
Whoever you are, whatever your background, you will be most welcome to come on the Journey in Faith.
You might:
● be a non Catholic;
● be married to a Catholic and would like to learn a little more;
● come to Mass each Sunday with your Catholic family and would like to really understand the Mass;
● feel that you may be excluded because of past experiences (actually no one is excluded from membership of the church);
● be a Catholic but have not practised regularly for years;
● be a baptised Christian seeking the fullness of the Catholic Faith;
● be an ordinary Catholic who has not really studied the Faith since school;
● have intellectual doubts, difficulties, or dilemmas about Catholicism.
