Readers and Ministers Day

Please take green letter in porch.  I do hope most readers and ministers can attend.  Readers are invited to read ‘Proclaiming the Word’ (available from the porch) – please borrow but return.

Holy Souls Box and Needy Box

Both are emptied regularly and Masses said.  Please continue to support (behind blue board in porch).

My Day by Day / Bible Alive – for spiritual nourishment / highly recommended.

‘The Romantic ‘Cello’  a rare opportunity to hear renowned musicians Tim Wells (‘cello) and Dominique Wong-Min (piano) – here in St James’ on Saturday Oct.18th 8.00pm – to support the work of St James’ School PTA.  Retiring collection (suggested £10) – includes cheese and wine during interval.  A popular programme in aid of our parish school.  I know you will support !

Harvest Festival will be on 11th & 12th October and we shall once again be supporting the Manna Centre.  Please take flyer from porch.  You will be invited to bring your gifts up during the offertory procession at all Masses that weekend.

Receiving the cup  It is very pleasing that many people now receive Holy Communion in both kinds.  I do encourage everyone to do this, thus obeying the clear command of Jesus at the Last Supper.

Yellow  and white lines have now been painted round the site as part of our ongoing Health & Safety programme including two disabled parking bays.
