Confessions: Saturday 5.30-6.00pm and Monday 10.00-10.30am.  Also by prior arrangement or at call.

Exposition:  Silent adoration and Benediction on Monday 10.00-10.30am.

Welcome to Mass today and a special welcome to Fr. Joseph Udoh who will be appealing on behalf of St Patrick’s Missionary Society (Kiltegan Fathers).  The Society, founded in 1932, undertakes Missionary Work in such places as Zambia, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Mexico and Canada, working among the most poor and marginalised people in the world.  I know you will respond generously.

We welcome also on Saturday at 4.30pm, through Holy Baptism, Sophie Emily Sudario Mulhall (13 months), her parents Malka and Joseph, and godparents Mary and Graham.

Many thanks to those who have left their car at home today!  We join many churches (and indeed Europe!) in helping just a little to keep our atmosphere less polluted – and don’t forget the church bike racks!

This week

Monday (and Tuesday) – Pondering the Word at Hayes (am) and Bromley (pm).  Highly recommended.

Monday – first meeting of the new Journey in Faith (RCIA) Group at 281A Crescent Drive, staring with coffee at 8.00pm.  This is for non-Catholics (18+) who would like to learn about the Catholic Faith and Catholic spouses are most welcome.  We end promptly at 9.30pm (green fliers in porch).  Informal, relaxed!  Simply turn up!

Wednesday – Baptism preparation evening for parents who have been informed.

Next Sunday we shall have a speaker from CAFOD (Family Fast Day is Friday 2nd October).

Parish Forum to receive the analysis of the survey concerning the future of our hall/social centre now on Tuesday 6th October at 8.00pm.  We need a really good attendance – I hope every family in the congregation will be represented.

Advance Notice

Saturday 26th September – Youth Group trip to Orpington Superbowl.  Meet there at 3.15pm.  Please email Suzy Paris to confirm your place.

Mass on Wednesday 30th September will be at 9.00am (please note the time) in St James’ School with Year 4.  Coffee, etc. will be served in school after the Mass.  This Wednesday arrangement will happen two or three times each term.  We are very keen to develop the already excellent relationship between the school and the parish and the school is keen to welcome parishioners on these occasions.  (The next will be on Wednesday 11th November).

CWL meeting on Monday 28thSeptember at 7.30pm followed at 8.15pm by a talk “Vision Aid Overseas” to be given by Deacon Peter Varnes.  Please bring unwanted spectacles (or next Sunday).  ALL most welcome.

Every blessing for the week, Fr Bryan.
