Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament − Monday 10am-12 noon

In today’s gospel (John chapter 14) Jesus reveals himself to his disciples (including us) as our ‘window’ onto God. He is not just a human being but also the ‘way’ to the Father – in fact, to have seen Jesus is to have seen the Father.

We too, are reminded of the dignity of our vocation. We are...”a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a people set apart...” (1 Peter, chapter 2.) In other words, there should be something ‘about’ us which marks us out as followers of Christ, a hint of that divinity which Jesus enjoyed perfectly with the Father. Is there? Let us persevere in our faith and pray that many others may come to see Jesus as the way to God.

We welcome (Sun.3.30.pm) William George Bromfield (8 mths) into membership of the church through Holy Baptism, and also his parents Helen and Dominic, and godparents Katie, Paul and Peter. William will be baptised by his uncle, Fr Peter Gee, (parish priest at Stockwell), who is Helen’s brother.  Every blessing to the whole family.
