Confessions: Saturday at 6.50pm after the 6pm Mass and Monday 10.00am after the 9.30am Mass also by prior appointment or at call.  Exposition: Monday 10.00-11.00am.  Please note these new times

Welcome to Mass today!

We celebrate the baptism of Jesus, the moment when he irrevocably committed himself to his mission and when the Holy Spirit came upon him.

Similarly, our baptism is the moment when we commit to God’s work and we receive the Holy Spirit at our confirmation.  These two sacraments of initiation are the fundamental ‘acts’ of our Christian life and ministry.  Through baptism we are made members of the Body of Christ, which makes us all (whether lay or ordained) equal members of the Church.  It is this theology which I hope to explore with you as we go through 2009.

Today:            From today your money offerings will be brought up with the bread and wine – symbolising the offering of our whole lives to God.

Please sing the Communion hymn(s)!! – an integral part of our celebration.
