Welcome to Mass Today
Are we really preparing spiritually for Christmas-or are we, once again, just caught up in the rush and the externals? A few suggestions:
Sacrament of reconciliation? There is ample opportunity............
A weekday Mass during Advent? (9.30am)
Some Advent reading and/or Bible reading (e.g. Walk with Me, Bible Alive, etc...)?
Advent with our children- calendars, booklets, etc.....? (in repository after Mass).
A few minutes of prayer each day – what about coming along sometimes (if you are free) to Morning Prayer? (daily at 9.10am) It’s 15 minutes laid on for you – just join in! (With no obligation to stay for Mass.)
What about popping in to church on Mondays between 10am and 11am for a few quiet moments in front of the Blessed Sacrament?
What about taking a Catholic newspaper?
Today: Christmas Choir practice this afternoon at 3.30pm.
Penitential Service (with individual confessions) at St Joseph’s, St Mary Cray at 4.00pm.
Monday: St.James’ School Advent Service at 6.0.pm
Knowing God Better’ – Final session: “Knowing God’s Spirit and Hope” – at 8.00pm in the church followed by a gathering in the Presbytery. There will be NO 1.30pm session. ALL who have been to any sessions are most welcome to the 8.00pm session.
Tuesday: NO sequence line dancing today because there is a Deanery Mass for the souls of deceased clergy at 11.00am, followed by a meeting and Christmas Lunch in the Social Centre.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
Saturday from 10.00-10.30am and 5.15-5.45pm.
Also on the four Sundays of Advent from 9.20am-9.50am, that is before the 10.00am Mass. Fr Bryan and Fr Joseph will hear confessions at these times during Advent.
