Come and pray with the Church during Advent!

Morning Prayer (9.10-9.25am –not Saturdays) and Evening Prayer (5.10-5.30pm) are recited daily.

You are warmly welcome to drop in and pray at these services (even if you cannot stay for Mass at 9.30am).

Opportunities to pray with others, each day in the St James’ chapel (front right of church).

Welcome to Mass – Advent 2.  John the Baptist tells us to “prepare a way for the Lord”.

Millions are spent on building better roads, on improving communication, but there still remain many obstacles among people and nations to communicate with one another.

In the same way there are many obstacles to the coming (“advent”) of Christ into our world.  People put up road blocks and we have to remove them, so that his mercy and freedom, his justice and love may reach all people.

We ask Christ in our Eucharist that we may be the road to him and that we may bring him near to others.
