Children’s Holiday Club from 28–31 October (mornings only years 3-6)

This is drawing near (half-term week) – please register your child for this exciting week and if possible contact Suzanne Horner to volunteer as a helper.  A great way to bring our communities together and to nurture our children’s faith in Jesus Christ and – judging by last year – great fun!!

Concert – Sat 18th October at 7.30pm by Tim Wells (’cello) and Dominique Wong-Min (piano’).  In aid of St James School Playground Appeal.  There will be a retiring collection – cheese and wine during the interval.  A rare chance to hear these highly talented musicians and to support our Parish School!  There are flyers in the porch.

Missing Bar Keys

Can anyone who has had occasion to use or help in the bar please check to see if they have them.  Thank you!

Marriage Convalidation

Catholics are required to marry in the presence of a Catholic priest (unless a special dispensation has been granted) for their marriage to be regarded as valid by the Catholic Church.  If you are a Catholic and you married in a non-Catholic ceremony it is likely that your marriage will need to be convalidated.  This means some instruction on the nature and meaning of marriage as taught by the Church, and then the Catholic marriage ceremony.  It is usually a straightforward process.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if this applies to you, or if you are unsure.

Every blessing, Fr Bryan.
