1. Assigning Duties / Utilising Strengths

All to be responsible for Project Management and will be assigned various duties as the project progresses. All have experience that will be utilised.

2. Budget - Funding / Donations etc

Talk to Roger regarding funding ideas used in other parishes - Joe to follow up

Contact Woodland Trust about Tree and Shrub donations - Melanie to forward details

See if RHS has could supply any help if possible - Melanie to forward contact details

Sponsoring of Plants and Benches etc by Parish Members - TBC, once plans are drawn up and list supplied. They would be given recognition for their donations. We could continue with the memorial garden.

 

 

3. Plans / ideas

Plans to be drawn up and project plan devised by early March. Presentation ideas to be shown to committee and then displayed to Parish once agreed.

 

Move compost to new area and build new compost areas with pallets to be supplied by Anne. Anne will deliver them.

 

 

4. Timing / Planning

Start Plan - End of February - Joe

Present Initial Concept Plans at next meeting – Joe / TBC

Start Clearing Site / Prepare Area - Mid March - Anne and Mel to lead

Source people to help with hard landscaping – Mid March

Agree Plans with LS Committee - End of March - All

Supply Roger with information and images to post on St James website  and hopefully have an area of the site dedicated to the LS Garden - Joe

 

 

7. A.O.B

Ensure that money collected/donated specifically for LS Garden Project is ‘ring fenced’.  Talk to Roger and accounts team to organise.

 

In keeping with the LiveSimply ideal, we plan to be as organic as possible now and in the future. Utilise the Social Centre refurbishment to incorporate water butts to service the garden.

 

 

8. Arrange Next Meeting

Proposed meeting to discuss plans - w/c 4 March if possible to discuss plans and next steps.
