Thanks to all who organised the Mass for the Sick last Sunday. It was a wonderful occasion, so thanks to all drivers, CWL for refreshments and also St James’ School for the music from the ‘Lion King.’ See pictures on our website. I know the whole event was really enjoyed by all who came (many of whom were our home communicants who can never usually get to Mass.)

Thanks too to those who supported the Teddy Bears’ Picnic raising funds for CWL charities.

The Autumn Festival draws ever closer (Oct. 1st) and will only be a month away when things get going again in September. Do get involved-and remember that funds raised will go to the hall refurbishment project.

Time, Talents and Skills sheets still available.  Please fill in and return to presbytery – and thank you.

A warm welcome to visitors to St. James’ during July/August. Do come in for coffee etc... in our adjoining hall after the 9.15am and 11.00 am Masses.

When on holiday look out for good ideas from other churches – and bring them back to St. James’ !

I hope you enjoy praying on the new kneelers! (the work of my nephew, Simon Elliston.) Also have a look at the new (external) porch board- should be very useful for visitors, and for general notices. Our new large board should be in place very soon.

Every blessing, Fr. Bryan
