We welcome visitors to the parish over Christmas.

Teresa and I thank you for your many cards and gifts, and pray that you may have a blessed Christmas.

Thanks also to all who have worked so hard to prepare the Christmas services and the church, especially our church musicians who serve so faithfully throughout the year, Tim (organist), Dominic (choir master) and Sue (11 am choir), together with all who lead the singing.

You can hear our special Christmas choir at the Carol Service this afternoon (23rd) at our Carol Service, (4pm) followed by mulled wine and mice pies.

Crib offerings- for Cabrini Childrens’ Society.

Your offering on Christmas Day is your personal gift to your parish priest.

As you will see the new hall roof is almost complete. Many thanks to all who have moved this project forward.

Christmas Masses:

Monday 24th at 5pm (vigil).  (NB this is not a ‘children’s Mass.’  It is provided for those who are unable to manage Midnight or Christmas morning) .  Then Midnight Mass (the official start of Christmas), preceded by carols at 11.20pm, and on Tuesday 25th at 9.15 am (children and families - come as angels or shepherds) and 11am.

From December 26th Mass will be celebrated at 10am (Mon-Fri) and resumes at 9.30am on Monday Jan. 7th.

Morning Prayer is said 20 mins before the start of daily Mass.

On New Year’s Day (Tuesday Jan. 1st) Mass will be at 12 noon.  New Year’s Eve party in the hall (in aid of St. Barnabas Society), 7.30pm to 12.30am.

Tickets from Frank Simon - please bring a plate of food.

It would be good to see more people at daily Mass throughout Christmas season.

Next Sunday (30th) is the feast of the Holy Family.

Please pray for the soul of Reginald Griffin (81 yrs) who died last week.  Our prayers and sympathy to Kathleen, and to daughter Joanne (Wedderspoon) and to the whole family at this sad time.  The funeral Mass will be here on Tuesday 8th January at 12 noon.
