Getting married

Parents (and grand-parents) – please remind your families that Catholics are required to be married in a Catholic marriage ceremony or their marriage will not be recognised as valid by the Catholic Church.

Dispensations from this may be obtained (e.g. if one party is a member of another denomination) but this can only be obtained through the diocese.  Please have a word with me if I can be of any help.

If you were married in a non-Catholic ceremony please have a word so that the church can convalidate your marriage.

Midnight Mass

Please note that the first Mass of Christmas will start at 11pm on December 24th – NOT midnight. Carols will be sung from 10.20.pm.

Seminary Fund

We have sent the cheque; £1,000 of which came from one very generous parishioner. Thanks to everyone who contributed.

Eco tip of the week

Household cleaning – the LiveSimply way

To clean inside a microwave, put a plastic bowl three-quarters full with water inside add a few teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda.  Run on high for two minutes then remove bowl and wipe with a clean cloth.

We welcome visitors to our Mass today!

Do come in to the adjoining hall for refreshments after Mass (after the 9.15 and 11 am).

Every blessing, Fr Bryan.
