Today we warmly welcome Canon Patrick Pearson to our parish community. Fr. Patrick has moved into our parish flat, 281, Crescent Drive. He was parish priest of St Joseph’s, Bromley for twenty years before his retirement to Kennington in 2006. Fr. Patrick is keen to play an active role in our community and it will be a great blessing to have him with us. He is keen to get to know you all in time.

From this week there will be two permanent changes to our parish routine:  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Confession will now be on Tuesdays, 10am-10.30am (changing from Monday) ;   and there will now be an extra time for confessions on Tuesdays, 6.45pm-7.10.pm (before the evening Mass at 7.15pm).

Marriage.  Leaflets about the nullity of marriage for you to take- it dispels many of the myths surrounding this subject!

Also, remember that all Catholics are required to be married in a Catholic church for their marriage to be recognised by the church (unless a dispensation has been granted.) If you were married in any non-Catholic ceremony your marriage can be authorised and blessed by the church.

I am always happy to talk in the strictest confidence with couples about marriage including those who think they may be in ‘irregular’ unions- so please do not hesitate to contact me....
