The All Saints and All Souls celebrations were well attended and Joshua’s funeral was poignant, moving –and hopeful.  Claire and Jon thank everyone who has supported them through this difficult time, and I know that support will continue.  The 2nd reading today reminds us that all the departed are safe in God’s hands- a wonderful thought for November.

We warmly welcome (11 am) David Young into full communion with the Catholic Church, and we pray for him, for Angela and all the family as David begins his Catholic life.  Any non-Catholic would be most welcome to join the Tuesday evening group (8.pm-9.30pm) (which now has 17 members).  We also welcome through Holy Baptism Isobel Cadogan (3 mths), her parents Georgina and Sean and godparents Siobhan and David.

It is great that 30 young people registered for confirmation 2012 last Monday-if there are any more please let me know as soon as possible - thank you.

Thanks also to the many parishioners who attended various meetings last week- your time and commitment is greatly appreciated!

Today - 2nd collection for Refurbishment & Maintenance Fund.  We are edging towards our target of £125,000 to re-roof the Social Centre and now have £84,000.  Thank you so much, but please buy a Rock Choir ticket today and come to the concert on Sat. 19th! (Ticket includes wine and nibbles).  The choir is raising funds for us! – please support them
