Today is the feast of the Epiphany - the coming of the magi (wise men) and traditionally the end of Christmas.  Liturgically however it extends to next Sunday (Baptism of the Lord).

Can we please have volunteers to take down the decorations next Sunday after the 11am Mass?

We welcome (Sat. 6pm) through Holy Baptism Alessandra Elizabeth Rose Williams, her parents Donna and Matthew and godparents Katie and Jo.

On Tuesday, Mass will be at 12 noon (not 9.30am) and will be the requiem for Reginald Griffin (81 yrs).  Our deepest sympathy to Kathleen and the whole family at this sad time.

Next Sunday – Second collection for the Maintenance Fund.  There will also be a voluntary retiring collection for SPUC (Society for the Protection of Unborn Children).

Next Sunday:

Petts Wood Festival Chorus resumes here in St. James’ (3pm - 4.30pm).  You are warmly invited to come and sing Fauré’s Requiem, which will be performed here on March 24th (Palm Sunday).

PWFC was founded here in 2008 and is the inter-church choir for Petts Wood.

Week of Accompanied Prayer.

Please take a flyer (one per family), which will explain this major initiative for Lent.

New rotas in porch and online.

Cleaning rota: next Saturday 10am-11am- year 4 parents please.

Thank you so much for your Christmas offering - and also for the many cards and gifts received by Teresa and myself.

May 2013 be a year of grace for us all.

Fr. Bryan.
