Happy Easter! As Christians we celebrate the incredible fact of our (and the universe’s) redemption, through the dying and rising of Jesus.
We celebrate this sacramentally in baptism and this is why we renew our baptismal vows on Easter Day. But we must live out these vows day by day. We are helped in this by the Spirit of the Risen Christ, and the church and its sacraments is the place we (should) recognise Christ’s risen presence. May Easter joy be yours!
Easter
In the beginning
The Lord God planted a garden
Facing the rising sun.
Adam was the gardener,
And all was very good
Until, worming its way
Into his mind the idea
Came that he could
Do things his way.
And the rest was trouble.
But in another garden,
The risen Son, Adam renewed
Appearing as a gardener
Brought new beginning,
Showed that through God’s grace
All can be life. A poem by Ann Lewin
Welcome to Mass on Easter Sunday - and a special welcome to any visitors - do come in to the hall after Mass for coffee etc...
Many thanks to everyone who has made Holy Week and Easter a wonderful time, including the organist and choir, servers, flower arrangers, readers , ministers, welcomers and cleaners. Special thanks to Liz Lawrence for the moving children’s stations. We now begin the great 50 days between Easter Day and Pentecost when the liturgy of explores and celebrates the Easter Mystery. A very happy Easter season to you and your families from Teresa and myself.
We welcome through holy baptism at the Easter Vigil, baby James Travers (15mths), his parents Miriam and Colin and godparents, Adrian and Kevin.

Unless a seed dies
Christ is in me, the life Within the seed-case of my self, Waiting to be set free. Light growing in darkness. In secret, patiently Pushing against self-will. ...... Christ is the secret that I cannot keep, he will Break through entombing Fearfulness, my seed-case Broken open will release His life, his image Forming my maturity ........................a poem by Ann Lewin
