Health and Safety Course for Fire Marshalls.-Sat.Sept.15th at St Joseph’s, Bromley- 10am-12 noon. For those of you who have volunteered –PLUS anyone who would like to. Not an onerous job but essential. Please sign list in porch-we must have specific named people.

Bethlehem Nativity will visit us on Sept.15th/16th to sell religious items to support poor Christians in the Holy Land. This might be a good chance to buy a few Christmas presents and also to learn something of the Bible lands.

CWL will meet on Monday Sept.17th at 1.30pm to fill the boxes for Romanian children. Next evening meeting on Sept 24th at 8.0pm.

Convalidation of Marriage. Several couples have been invited to a special evening (meeting room) on Thursday Sept.13th at 8.15pm. If you were not married in a Catholic church and if there is no impediment, e.g. a former marriage, you are most welcome to come along but please contact me first.  The blue forms in the porch explain convalidation, and also annulment.  I am always happy to speak with couples in complete confidence whatever the situation.

Journey in Faith A course on the basics of the Catholic Faith for non- Catholic enquirers (with NO obligation).  Introductory evening on Tuesday September 18th at 7.45pm (coffee) in the meeting room (between hall and church).  Catholics who would like a ‘refresher’ are most welcome.  Our sessions are warm and informal, and questions are encouraged!  We end by 9.30pm at the latest.

Music in the Mass  We shall be introducing new music in the coming weeks mainly to accommodate the new Mass texts.  Our thanks to Tim Wells (9.15) and Sue Scripture (11am) for their consistent and dedicated leading of the music at Mass.

Communication in the parish. As your priest I am here to serve you. I am always happy to speak with parishioners (about anything) but please activate me ! E mail is by far the best way- I will reply to you speedily, or if not a ‘phone call. And please keep me ‘in the frame.’! I am not psychic.  Please let me know cases of sickness- or of anyone who might like a visit.

Autumn Festival – our now annual ‘bazarre’- Saturday Oct.6th 1.0.pm-4.0.pm. The team will be letting you know details very soon........and thanks to everyone who is working to mount this event.

Welcome to any visitors to our Mass today- do come in to the adjoining hall for refreshments after the 9.15 and 11 am Masses.

Every blessing to all our young people as the new term begins for them at school, college or university. And to their teachers !
