Things we can do to help Planet Earth
As Christians we have a special responsibility to care for Creation. The Catholic Church has long taught that care of the environment is a matter of justice. It asks us to be good stewards of God's world so that all peoples have a fair share of its resources. Integral to that is the need to reduce our pollution of land, sea and air. Climate change will affect all of us but, as usual, the world's poor will suffer most. Individual actions may seem insignificant but together the small steps of many people can have an astonishing impact. Following at least some of these suggestions will be an important contribution to the St James' promise to support the principle of Living Sustainably. Please take a look at the suggestions page which will form a collection of the ideas published week by week in Briefly.
Our Cubs have done their bit by setting up some recycling facilities in the hall and telling us about it at Parade Mass on 11th May 2014.
